Initiative

Side initiative each round: roll 1d6 per side. Higher side acts first.

Attack Rolls

Roll 1d20 + attack bonus.

  • Melee attack bonus: STR modifier
  • Missile attack bonus: DEX modifier

Hit if total is greater than or equal to target AAC.

Natural 20 always hits. Natural 1 always misses.

Damage

On a hit, roll weapon damage and add STR modifier for melee.

Shield Sundering

Before damage is rolled from a conventional strike, a target using a shield may choose to destroy that shield to negate the hit.

This does not block effects that do not rely on a physical strike.

Time

Encounter time is measured in 10-second rounds.
