Beasts

Beasts are hunted for food, materials, or trade value. Most flee when badly hurt. Some fight back hard.


Loper

A lean, fast-moving grazer adapted to open ruins and ash flats. Travels in loose groups. Bolts at first sign of danger.

Sewer Hog

Stocky feral pig descended from escaped livestock. Forages in drainage systems and ruined lots. Aggressive when surprised.

Bristle Boar

A large, aggressive boar with a thickened hide and sharp forward tusks. Will charge when wounded rather than flee.

HD: 3+1 AC: 6 Attacks: gore (d8) Num: d4 Morale: 9 Special: charges on being wounded; moves double speed toward attacker for that turn Yield: substantial meat (3 slots), hide and tusks (1 slot each)


Ash Cat

A large feral feline that hunts in rubble zones and collapsed structures. Ambushes from above or from cover. Solitary except when trailing injured prey.

HD: 3 AC: 7 Attacks: claw + claw / bite Num: 1 Morale: 8 Special: surprise on a 1–3 in 6 when attacking from cover or elevation Yield: pelt (2 slots, high value), meat (1 slot)


Sump Croc

A large reptile found in flooded sublevels and drainage canals. Nearly motionless until prey is within reach. Hide is dense enough to deflect light blades.

HD: 5 AC: 4 Attacks: bite (2d6) Num: 1 Morale: 10 Special: surprise on a 1–4 in 6 when submerged; grabbed prey takes automatic bite damage each round until croc is killed or driven off Yield: valuable hide (3 slots), rendered fat (1 slot)
