Creating a Character

1. Roll Abilities

Roll 3d6 for each ability.

Ability Core Use
Strength melee attack and damage; unavoidable physical danger saves
Dexterity missile attacks; avoidable physical danger saves
Constitution HP adjustment; poison, disease, and death saves
Intelligence technical analysis, systems, and cognition saves
Wisdom awareness, judgment, and disorientation saves
Charisma social leverage, coercion resistance, and reaction influence

2. Note Modifiers

Modifiers are the bonus or penalty derived from an ability score and are applied when a rule calls for that ability modifier.

3. Note Starting HP

Starting HP is 6 + CON modifier.

At 0 HP or less, the character is dead.

4. Roll Starting Kit

Roll 3d6 once and take the matching kit.

Each kit includes 1 week rations and a container.

5. Starting Load

  • Base carried capacity: 10 slots.
  • A container takes 1 slot.
  • One slot holds up to 100 coin-weight.
  • Similar small items may share a slot if total load stays within limit.

6. Name the Character

Write a name, mark coins, and begin play.
