Character Advancement

Advancement is drawn from recovered coin-equivalent value. That value forms one spendable pool.

That same pool is used for advancement and other downtime spending.

Value only counts when all are true:

  1. Recovered from the danger zone.
  2. Delivered to a safe haven or other safe return point.
  3. Not lost before the group is safely out.

Gaining a Level

Levels are purchased during downtime from that spendable pool.

Cost to reach next level: 1000 x current level.

When you gain a level:

  1. Roll 1d6 and add CON modifier (minimum result 1).
  2. Add the result to current HP.
